The Fitchburg Cultural Alliance Support Grant Program
The Fitchburg Cultural Alliance started a new grant program in 2019 to support our member organizations, artists, artist groups, and businesses to promote our mission and the Fitchburg Community. Applicants may apply for funds from $100 up to $1000 to implement a project. We are proud to announce the continuation of this program for the 2022 Grant Cycle.

To promote excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts and humanities in order to improve the quality of life and economic vitality for Fitchburg residents and surrounding communities.

Fitchburg Disability Commission - Accessible Art Studio Painting Classes
This award will fund a series of "Accessible Art Studio Painting Classes" for senior citizens.
Award: $300
Child Tools Consulting
This award will partially fund workshops to caregivers of toddlers/young children (grandparents, relatives, and childcare providers) about how to create felt board stories with children to build skills in expressive language and speech development.Award: $700
The Thurston Consort
This award will help fund musicians to perform a concert of of historical music on November 19, 2022 at Phillips Hall, First Parish UU Church, Fitchburg. Award: $500
NewVue Communities
This award will partially fund the Community Stewards Leadership Training program designed to drive social action by increasing civic engagement. Award: $500

Applicant must be a Fitchburg Cultural Alliance member. If you are not currently a member of the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance, please attach a copy of the completed Membership Application to your grant application and mail the original Membership Form with your check payable to Fitchburg Cultural Alliance to:

Project or event must take place in Fitchburg before April 2023, and primarily benefit the Fitchburg community.

The project must align with the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance mission.

The Application for the 2022 Grant Cycle will be available November 1, 2021

Grantees will be notified by April 2, 2022. A check will be issued after the grantee has returned a completed W9 Form and Reimburse Form for Payment.

Upon completion of project, grantees must submit a Final Report one month after its completion date. Details of Final Report will be sent to each grantee upon award notification. ALL PROJECTS must be completed by April 2023.

Grantees must credit the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance Support Grant by using the logo and/or credit line. Go to Credit and Publicity Guidelines.

Sally Cragin — "Fitchburg Gyumri (And Beyond) Arts Connection"
Funds will be used to create a Gallery Show at First Parish Church featuring an exchange of artworks from here and Armenia. Note: Sally withdrew her 2020 grant award because of COVID limitations. Award: $500
Basil Tolos/Carolyn Quirk, Fitchburg Disability Commission of Fitchburg — "Accessible Art Studio Painting Class"
Funds will be used for art supplies for up to 50 students (paints, canvas boards, parchment paper, etc) to conduct painting classes accessible to Fitchburg Residents of all abilities. Award: $300
Barney Lanman, Zen Den Studios —"Music Album of Local Youth Artists"
Funds will be used to pay for student instruction in music production, songwriting, mixing, and mastering techniques in a professional studio environment and culminating in an album of their musical works. Award: $800
